Want more than just a few hours at the Daymaniat Islands?

During Oman's winter season, our full-day snorkeling trip gives you more time to explore the reefs, enjoy the beaches and experience the islands at a slower pace.

With three snorkeling locations, a BBQ lunch on the beach and a full day surrounded by the sea, it's one of our favorite ways to experience the Daymaniat Islands.

Here's what you can expect when you join Daymaniat Shells for the day.

Your Day Starts at Al Mouj Marina

Our full-day adventure starts in the morning at Al Mouj Marina, Muscat.

Once everyone is ready, we head out towards the Daymaniat Islands Nature Reserve.

The journey takes approximately 40–50 minutes, depending on sea conditions.

Sit back, enjoy the views and keep an eye on the water — you never know what you might spot along the way.

Arriving at the Daymaniat Islands

Seeing the islands appear on the horizon is always a special moment.

The Daymaniat Islands are a protected nature reserve made up of small, uninhabited islands surrounded by coral reefs and clear water.

During the winter season, from November until April, beach access is permitted again after the summer turtle nesting closure.

That means a full-day trip isn't only about what's underwater.

You get to enjoy the islands above the surface too.

Three Snorkeling Locations

One of the biggest differences between our half-day and full-day trips is the extra time we have to explore.

During the full-day trip, we aim to visit three different snorkeling locations.

The exact locations are chosen by our captain based on conditions that day. Weather, currents, visibility and other factors all play a role in deciding where we'll have the best experience.

And every snorkeling site is a little different.

That's part of the adventure.

What Marine Life Could You See?

The Daymaniat Islands are home to an incredible variety of marine life.

Green and hawksbill turtles are some of the reserve's most famous residents, but there's much more to discover.

Depending on the day, you may encounter:

  • Green and hawksbill turtles

  • Rays

  • Moray eels

  • Reef sharks

  • Clownfish

  • Pufferfish

  • Octopus

  • Schools of colorful reef fish

  • And plenty of other surprises

Because we're visiting wild animals in their natural habitat, no particular sighting can ever be guaranteed.

We think that's what makes every trip special.

You never know what the ocean has planned for you.

Everything You Need for Snorkeling

You don't need to bring your own snorkeling equipment.

We provide mask, snorkel, fins and lifejackets, and our crew is there to help if you need assistance.

Before getting into the water, we'll explain the snorkeling site and remind everyone how to enjoy the reef responsibly.

Please don't touch or stand on the coral, chase marine life or crowd turtles.

Give the animals space and let them decide how close they want to come.

We're guests in their home.

BBQ Lunch on the Beach

After spending time in the water, there's nothing better than lunch by the sea.

One of the highlights of our full-day trip is our BBQ lunch on the beach.

Take a break from snorkeling, enjoy your food and simply look around.

No restaurants. No roads. No city noise.

Just the beach, the sea and the Daymaniat Islands around you.

It's often one of the simplest parts of the day — and one of the most memorable.

Time to Slow Down

A full-day trip isn't about filling every minute with activities.

That's exactly why we love it.

Having more time means the day can feel relaxed.

Snorkel. Have lunch. Sit on the beach. Talk with your friends or family. Look out over the water. Then get ready to explore another reef.

The Daymaniat Islands are somewhere worth taking your time to enjoy.

🥪 What's Included?

Your full-day trip includes:

  • Boat trip from Al Mouj Marina to the Daymaniat Islands

  • Three snorkeling locations

  • Snorkeling equipment

  • Lifejackets

  • Drinking water

  • Fresh fruits and sandwiches

  • BBQ lunch on the beach

  • Experienced Daymaniat Shells crew

All you really need to bring is your swimwear, towel, sun protection and a sense of adventure.

A Full Day at Sea

Our full-day trips typically run from approximately 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, giving us plenty of time to explore without rushing.

Please keep in mind that we're operating at sea and timings can occasionally change depending on weather and sea conditions.

Safety always comes first.

When Are Full-Day Trips Available?

Our full-day trips are seasonal.

They operate from November until April, when beach access at the Daymaniat Islands is permitted.

From 1 May until 31 October, the beaches are closed to protect nesting turtles and their nests.

Snorkeling trips continue during this period, but we respect the closure and do not land on the beaches.

Once November arrives, we're always excited to welcome the full-day adventures back.

Is a Full-Day Trip Right for You?

If you simply want to experience snorkeling at the Daymaniat Islands and have limited time in Muscat, our half-day trip is a great choice.

But if you want to make the islands a real part of your Oman experience, consider spending the full day with us.

More time.

More snorkeling.

A BBQ on the beach.

And plenty of time to simply enjoy being somewhere very different from everyday life.
